József Baksai
- Born in 1957 in Budapest.
- 1985-90 Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts (Lajos Sváby), since 1990 Studio of Young Artists, Association of Hungarian Creative Artists (MAOE), 1996 Society of Hungarian Painters, 1996 Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists.
- Study in Paris (1985), Luxemburg (1990) and Rome (1995).
- Prizes: 1989 Oszkár Glatz Prize, 1990 Gyula Derkovits Prize, Prize of the Musée 2000 (Luxembourg), 1991 Prize of MAOE (Stúdió ’91), 1993 Scholarship from the Studio of Young Artists, 1994 Scholarship from the Hungarian Academy in Rome, 1995 Barcsay Prize, 2001 Munkácsy Prize.
- Instructor of painting, drawing and anatomy at the Óbuda secondary school for Fine Arts (Óbudai Képzőművészeti Szakközépiskola).
- Since 1982 numerous individual and group exhibitions in Hungary and abroad.
